iPause is built to respect your privacy. The app runs locally on your Mac. We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal data on our servers.
To remember your preferences and stats across launches, iPause saves the following on your device only, using macOS UserDefaults:
None of this data leaves your Mac. There is no analytics SDK, no telemetry, and no tracking.
If you choose to subscribe or purchase Lifetime access, Apple handles the transaction through StoreKit. iPause only receives your subscription/entitlement status from Apple — we never see your payment information. Subscription terms and Apple's privacy practices apply.
iPause uses macOS notifications to deliver break alerts, blink reminders, and posture reminders. You can revoke notification permission at any time in System Settings › Notifications › iPause.
Kids Mode is designed to help parents manage screen time on a shared device. All Kids Mode data — PIN, screen-time logs, and limits — stays on the device. iPause does not knowingly collect any information from children.
iPause does not embed third-party analytics, advertising, or data brokers. The app communicates with Apple's StoreKit services only to process purchases, restore purchases, and verify subscription or Lifetime access.
You can clear all stored data by removing iPause from your Mac. If you also remove iPause's local data, all information stored by the app is deleted from your Mac.
Because iPause does not collect or store your personal information on our servers, there is no account information for us to access, modify, or delete.
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and post the new version on this page.
